Budgeting behaviour and the scope of a budget account

GfK NOP was commissioned by HM Treasury to undertake qualitative research to inform the design of a Budgeting Account. The key aims of the research were to: a) Explore budgeting behaviour and attitudes among the financially excluded and those who may benefit from a budgeting account; and b) Inform the design of a practical, marketable and commercially viable product (HM Treasury, 2010).
