A modern credit revolution: an analysis of the short term credit market
A new report by the Social Market Foundation, commissioned by the Consumer Finance Association, provides an up-to-date assessment of the short-term credit market and analyses how the market has changed since the introduction of the price cap regulation in 2015. It draws on new polling of consumers of short-term credit and on industry data collected for this study. The research seeks to understand how changes in the market have affected consumers, in terms of both costs of loans and access to loans.
